2. What is the difference between bootcamps and group outdoor workouts?
Group outdoor workouts work the whole body in one session and take place all year around. Bootcamps are split routine, i.e. we alternate the body parts we train each day to maximise results. Bootcamps are held throughout the year, on all locations and run for 2 weeks – every morning at 615am. Check out our Bootcamps page for more info

3. I am really fit, will I get a good enough workout?
Yes! All our workouts are designed to help people reach their max and whilst people can take it at their own level, there are always advanced options and opportunities to push yourself more. At the end of each class we usually ask you whether you reached a 9 or 10 out of 10 for intensity so if for any reason you didn’t, let your trainer know and she will push you more next time and also let the other trainers know to push you that little bit more.
However, our workouts are cleverly designed to push the body in different ways and often really fit people find our workouts really hard as they work muscles often neglected, work on improving shape and are different to some of the more basic exercises people typically do.
Some of the runners who join us can’t believe how unfit they are when they come to our classes as they are specifically running fit. Similarly some of our clients who have joined us coming from military style group training have said they couldn’t believe how much their shapes had changed with our workouts, despite being very cardio fit – check out testimonials page.

7. How do your terms work?
We operate 3 x terms a year. We have a small break at Christmas and Easter!
This also allows us to theme our terms, change our workouts according to weather and have different themes to motivate and inspire you.
It also means our clients get a well earned break a couple of times a year and the trainers can rest up and indulge like the rest of you during holiday times!

8. Do I have to take all my booked workouts in one term?
Yes – all our bookings run on a term time basis, so any workouts you don’t use within this time will be forfeited. We believe this actually helps people commit to regular training plus there are over a hundred workouts each term to choose from including running club, kick boxing & outdoor workouts. However in the case of serious illness/injury or early stages of pregnancy we will allow workouts to be carried over with a valid medical certificate.

10. What happens with the outdoor training sessions in winter when it is dark in the early morning and the evening?
We run our classes all year round, which does mean during the winter months, it is dark in the mornings and evenings - and it does tend to be a little cooler! But that doesn't bother us at Fit for a Princess! Here are a few tips that get us through the winter months!
-
Layer up! After the warm up – I am sure most of you will have taken off most of your
layers, but it is great to have them there for when the class is over!
-
Gloves are also very handy!
-
Leg warmers are great – for both legs and arms/hands!
-
A beanie, when it starts to get a little colder!
-
For the rainy days – which there haven’t been very many of – if you have a light
waterproof jacket, bring that along as well! Although many clients have actually told me,
they love training the rain, it is really invigorating!
-
Even in the cooler weather, it is a good idea to bring a water bottle, as it is always
important to stay hydrated!
In terms of the darkness, all our trainers have torches/lanterns that they bring to class. We will also (where possible) stick to the paths and under lights.
Check out our individual locations pages for meeting places.

11. What happens with the outdoor training sessions if it rains?
There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes and bad attitude!! Being outside is great for our mind as well as our bodies and most of us take showers after training anyway, so we encourage people to train outside whatever the weather.
There are some big trees we can train under if it gets really wet, but more often than not it's liberating to be outside - some of us spend up to 95% of our days inside in winter, yuk!!!!
Please do bring layers and waterproofs if the weather is bad.
However in extreme weather conditions such as thunder & lightening, where client's safety is at risk, workouts will be cancelled. If in doubt, please text your instructor.

12. If I bring my child/baby to the group training sessions, do you provide childcare?
No. Although we welcome babies and children to all sessions, you are responsible for them. We do all our outdoor workouts within one area, have a base and don't move around the common. Many of our clients either bring babies in buggies that stand along side us, or small children that play near by together. As we meet by the Common Ground Cafe you may want to think about pairing up with a few Mums so you can help look after each other's children on a rotation basis. If you are unsure whether it will work, come along to Fit for a Fiver on Saturdays and try it out!

13. I have just had a baby, what exercise do you recommend?
It varies from woman to women so it's essential to have a chat with us before joining in the outdoor workouts. Some personal training sessions are also advisable to give you confidence, sort out technique and spot any weaknesses. But generally speaking, most women who have had a baby without any major complications can do most exercises within a few months. A lifestyle MOT is also a really good idea to give you a food and fitness kick start and make sure you are eating the right things for energy and nutrition and to give you a Shake Up and Wake Up exercise program!

14. I am pregnant, what exercise do you recommend?

All our outdoor workouts have low impact and pregnant-friendly options. In addition our Personal Trainers are all ante/post natal trained, so we can provide you with a tailor made training program for you or a group of pregnant friends to suit your schedule.
